Re-body questions
Will a 77 F100 2x4 body drop straight on to a 78 F250 4x4 frame without doing any modifications other than the floor tunnel? I'm talking about swapping all the sheet metal out, cab\doors, front clip and the bed. The 77 is a column shift AT and my 78 is a 4 speed so I know there;d be some tunnel work at a minimum.

Core support and front cab mounts are dead on the same. Now the rear cab mounts I am not sure about, but from the pics I have seen they are the same as well. Pretty sure the bed is a drop on and go.

Alright, thanks for the info. My truck is at the point where it needs restoration so I'm looking at a re-body using a nice donor as a cheaper alternative to redoing my truck completely.

I know that a 79 2wd long bed will go on a 79 F150 4wd running gear easy enough. This guy did it and I sold him the running gear. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...-of-a-4x4.html

1973/79: Left inner fender apron with 2WD different than with 4WD
1973/79's with round headlamps use a different radiator support than 1978/79's with rectangular headlamps.
And, there are TWO different round supports, one was only used with the Super Cooling radiator, as it has a larger opening radius.
