DEF heater code popped up

I have a 2015 350 6.7L and today the DEF heater code came on.Will this code slow the truck down? I am driving 19 hours soon and need my truck.Help!

The truck will eventually go into speed reduced operation which will lead to forced idle mode if driven long enough. Go see the dealer before your trip and have it repaired.

I do not think the DEF heater will cause the truck to go into limp mode. If the DEF can still be "dosed" into the exhaust, there should be no problem. This DEF heater seems to be a common problem lately. Ford has extended the warranty on the DEF heater. Contact a dealer to see if you are still covered and for repair.
