what is(are) the code(s)?

Have you checked for any chaffed wires that might be shorting out?

P20BD – Reductant Heater "B" Control Circuit / Open
P20BD triggers the P20BE

Maybe this will help

Did you replace it with a Ford Motorcraft part?

I would check the Yellow and Grey wire going to the Reductant Pressure Line Heater and the Black and White wire going to ground to make sure they are not broken.

The Reductant Pressure Line Heater maybe bad. Use an ohm meter and see if it has resistance or open.

If that is not a problem, check the Blue and Orange Wire.

Willydmax,
no did not replace with Motorcraft part. My dealer said it would take around 6 weeks to get. So went with aftermarket part.

If the replacement part is a Dorman brand then all bets off. I'm not a fan of Dorman parts. They are very cheap Chinese parts. Did you try Autonation Ford in White Bear Lake? Their prices are awesome and they usually can have almost any part in a matter of days. Good luck and keep us posted on what you find

Looking at the code above that are stored and the wiring diagram I posted, I doubt the Dorman unit is the problem nor was the one he took out.

The code indicates the "B" heater circuit. In the diagram that would be the RDHTRC2. "B" equating to 2. Appears a problem with the Pressure Line Heater circuit or heater.

P20BD – Reductant Heater "B" Control Circuit / Open

I did a little research on Identifix and you are on the right track JustStrokin. I think too that the part replaced earlier was likely ok. Those codes do not point toward the tank heater but toward the line heater or wiring issues.

Is there a way to test the pressure line heater? does the wiring harass on top of the def tank include pressure line heater? If not where is it located at.
