Steering column question 62 falcon van

Ive recently purchased a 62 Falcon Van and this is my 1st project. So everything is new to me.
I suspect the steering column may have been swapped out for a 63, 64, 65 falcon column. I don’t really know. Does anyone know how I can tell what column I’ve got in there?
I need to replace the signal switch and can’t quite figure out what I need and I’ve got some play in the steering so I’d like to know what I’m working with.
Any advice is appreciated.

After finding a diagram of the steering column, I think I've got a 62 steering column. It came with a Comet Steering wheel on it, and I thought the whole column may have been swapped out.

Upper pic: Steering column // Lower pic: T/S switch and etc.

C1UU-13341-A .. T/S Switch / Obsolete ~ 1961/66 E100.

NOS PARTS SOURCE in Olathe KS has 1 = 913-220-5746.

MUSTANG'S ETC. in Van Nuys CA has 2 = 818-787-7634.

Thanks ND. Much appreciation. 1 question. The term “obsolete”, I’ve seen this used in other posts too. Does this mean that there is a new set up or a re-engineered part?

Later model Econolines use the same switch, but the wiring and connector is different. Do a search for the mod.

for the play in the wheel, have a friend rock the wheel back and forth while you are underneath looking for loose spots. The steering gears do wear out, but there are places that rebuild the steering box.

When Bill says "obsolete," that means Ford has stopped making the part and Ford dealers no longer stock the part. Based on his report, it is posible that there are only 3 NOS switches left in the world.

Obsolete: cancelled, not serviced, not replaced, no longer available from FoMoCo.
