Does anyone else have issues with their navigation not working after your truck has been sitting outside in the heat for an extended period of time? I have noticed that mine always has issues when I leave work (it's been 90-100 every day) at the end of the day. It works perfectly fine in the morning, but once it's been in the heat I get an SD card error message.
Yep. One of the first signs that the SD card is breaking down. I just replaced mine, was fine in the morning, but as the truck heated up it would fail, and then finally failed completely. You can find OEM new and updated ones on EBAY for less than you can buy via Ford.
Oh, and dont bother trying to copy the SD card to another one. They have some sort of key imbedded in the OEM SD card, as copying it worked fine, but the radio wouldnt recognize the chip. I tried that too.

Found one on Ebay for $67. It's the A8. Sound like a decent price?
And do you just remove the old SD card, insert the new one, and you're good to go? Or do you have to update Sync as well?
No...$67 Is high for A8. I just bought an A9 for $47 on eBay.
I have an A8 that is a duplicated card. It works fine. I have been using it for the last year plus and the radio recognizes the database as an A8 version. I will sell to you for $35 to include postage in USA. I paid $50 plus postage when I bought it.
