My driver's seat is done!
found a 98' 60/40 replacement, 300 bucks, it has issues, lumbar for one but better than mine. Haven't gotten a quote for rebuilding it and not sure when it's finished it wouldn't be any more comfortable than buying something after market new.
Local upholstery shop needs 2-3 weeks to do the job, can't be without a truck for that long.
300.00 for a used seat plus rebuild and upholstery seems silly.
What do y'all think?
I had a similar problem 20 years ago. Bought an old bucket seat for nothing and bolted inside the truck to use for 2 weeks. Took my original bench seat to upholster to have it repaired and recovered... Most of them will do the repairs needed in addition to the new cover.... FINDING them is the problem. ............... GOOD used seats seem to be expensive !

Ole Steve(ill) is on point....you can find "good seats" but they'll cost a pretty penny. Even if you do find them "fairly reasonable", then shipping is some crazy price.
This is why you see a lot of older trucks with newer model seats. Late model salvage take outs are often cheaper, cleaner, and easier to find than specific year older seats.
I bought two bucket seats from a Chrysler Cordoba for $10 each in 1989... Had them recovered for $75. and put in my NEW 1989 F250 SCab............. you can do anything if you try hard enough.
