Seatback foam source

Ok folks, I ordered new seat cushions from American cushion and an upholstery kit from NPD. They inform me the seat back foam is not available. I thought I read on here the bench seats interchange to 1996 or so. If this is true, are there any dealers that may have seat foam? I will try tasca Ford...

Any thoughts suggestions are appreciated....my seats smell like mouse **** and I cannot put my senior mother in the truck smelling like that...

Plus I may barf.....

The seats themselves will interchange......just use the seat tracks from your original.....I do not know however if just the foam will interchange.

Hydrogen peroxide will neutralize the urine. it may also bleach whatever it touches, so keep that in mind. I had good luck using it in a pet ruined rental house. Just soak, and let dry. Repeat if needed.

If you are ok with OEM used...your local JY, if they have a dent, may still have the bench seat in it. The foam for the back usually holds up pretty well.

You can also buy foam sheet on-line and cut it to match the seat-foam profile with an electric carving knife. Probably cheaper and allows you to custom-make the seat back (like maybe if you want the back to be firmer than the seat, or want a little more lumbar support.)

See if a local upholstery shop can get you some new foam. They may cut to fit, etc. I have a local guy who does boat seats and has always got me the exact foam I need before I re-upholster.
