The door lock on the passenger side is unresponsive to the key fob or the unlock button on the drivers side door. I have to push the key fob multiple times to get the door to unlock/lock. This morning I think I pushed the button on the drivers side door 10 times to get it to unlock. Any ideas what could be going on? I switched key fobs to make sure it wasn't the fob or battery and got the same results.
It would help if you explicitly identified your truck.
On my 01, I had both actuators go out at about the same time a couple of years ago. Thought it was a control electronics problem since the timing appeared to be the same when I noticed the problem. Tore into the dash, check the operation of the relays and saw that they were working normally. Checked wiring and finally opened up the door panels and tested at the actuator connectors and everything was normal up to there. Both actuators had failed... Dang, what were those odds? Put in Dorman replacements from RockAuto, still working. Note: I had to do the aluminum foil trick on both of them when I bought the truck back in 2011. Both had bad thermal devices back then.
