high fived today while driving
Just high fived an oncoming truck
A year or two ago I read a post here a member made about his side view mirror high fiving another one on an oncoming truck and thought that was insane (he posted pics). But I guess these mirrors stick out more than I realized because week before last on my way to Arkansas in my Excursion I heard a really loud SMACK!!! as I drove past another truck. Now I have to buy a new mirror or something. I have 100mph tape on it now.

Last year I was on I-40 around Ashville and slowed to merge into the right lane. The left lane was clear ahead of me, but blocked about a half mile ahead by an accident. I'm watching my right mirror and slow movement in the right lane in hopes that I can roll into it. Probably going about 15 MPH when my left mirror is blown off of the door by a black F-150 squeezing between me and the concrete divider wall. I'd say it was running 45-50 when it passed me going the same direction, and he never lit his brake lights. Well, since no one else was in my left lane ahead, I ran him down to where the wreck was.
Turns out it was driven by a young, wanna-be fireman who just had to join the party before it broke up without him.

When I was in Miami, sitting still in traffic, one of the delivery guys on a scooter tried to go between lanes and hit his helmet on my drivers mirror. Luckily no damage, it just folded but he lost control of the scooter and it slid from rear quarter to the hood on a Porsche 911. Cop asked me why I even stuck around since I had no damage!

I read where 2008+ have 30 percent more mirror so planned on replacing it with that. What does 2011+ mirrors have over 2008?

A lot of people are selling the 2011 and above side mirrors but description from not clear
I did a search on Amazon for replacement mirrors for my excursion and they range from 129 for a pair to 170 and more for a pair
And a lot of the sellers said it would not fit my schedule, but I figured that it was because they were replacements for 2011 and up and of course there are no excursion.
Then I was reading some of the notes on them and they said that they will not address lookup to excursions people had to splice etc.
Can you point me to a pair that works without having to splice that has Amber side lights and not clear lights. I've been trying to figure for the exact pair I need for over an hour now
