Well I was out 4x4ing this weekend and decided it was time to do a little vehicle modification while driving through a creek.....
I think I am going to go back to my old setup, I'm not if I like the new look of my truck lol
On a totally unrelated note...does anyone happen to have an extra mirror they are trying to sell? (assuming I cannot re-mount mine) It doesnt have to work, just have all the mounting hardware
Also I got some GREAT videos/pics from the trip that will be posted up fairly soon.
are they power? i have a set of standard mirrors for sale. they are in "like new" condition. i took them off of my old truck with 38k on the clock and installed the tow mirrors. they are wrapped and in a box in my shed. i can snap some pics if need be.
Ain't them things suppose to fold back when you hit something? I guess they kind of did......
...well funny thing about those folding mirrors, they only fold if you are driving forward
So what kind of idiot would be wheeling in reverse? this idiot lol
It was one of those situations where I was down in a creek and had i been going forward and gotten stuck I would have been STUCK!!!!
If I backed in like I did I had a GREAT winch point and a way out of the creek of any problems arose....and in doing so I killed my mirror
Coon: the mirror was a power mirror but it never worked (there isnt any wiring up into the mirror mount) so it ended up being a normal mirror LOL If you are trying to sell some similar mirrors I would love to take them off your hands (assuming I cannot find a way to glue/bole/jbweld mine back on). Are your normal mirrors the same style as mine or the other style (towing I think they are called)?
did the same mod with my toy....but the damn tree took out the whole door and glass too.....only pic I have of it,cold ride home.....for my passenger(he was pulling glass out of his ear the next day
took out my drivers door on this trail....when will we learn...LOL
