I bought a set of Muth turn signal mirrors for my Tow Mirrors. I got them brand new in the box for $99 with free shipping. Now for the bad part. The instructions say theres suppose to be two pegs on the back of glass. Theres not. Theres a round puck. The instructions say these mirrors fit my model and year but apparently not. I also broke the small bottom mirror on the right side. Anyone know where I can get another one? I'm going to attach some pics. Any suggestions?
I can't see from your pictures, but do you have two threaded studs that adjust the mirror?
If not, your going to need to call Muth, they were fairly nice when I dealt them years ago. I think you can carve up the stock mirror back to retain the latches and then glue that the new mirror glass.
No, theres arn't any studs on the old mirror. It simply snaps onto the round "puck" in the housing. The photographs in the Muth instructions say I should have the stud though.
Muth is the bomb. I called them this morning. They asked me to email them the pic's and they called me right back. They said my housings were aftermarket. According to my buildsheet my truck came with the factory turn signal mirrors but the previous owner or the dealer must have snatched them. The lady at Muth asked me where I got the mirrors. I told her ebay which I thought was going to be a problem. Since they were still new in the box she said send them to her and they are going to give me an even exchange for the new ones. I put Muth mirrors on my wife's Yukon a couple of months ago and they are great. I got her's new on ebay for $50! I would recommend this company to anyone. They were very nice and called me right away. This is the way all companies should do business. The only part that stinks is my truck won't have any mirrors on it until atleast next week. I broke the small convex glass on the passenger side. Anyone know a cheap place to find one?
Does this muth kit come with the studs that you were talkin about? I ask because i broke my white studs on my passenger mirror and this would be cheaper and cooler then buying replacement mirrors online! Thanks!
