Noticed this morning on Bitterroot diesels website you can rent the legit spring compressor tool for 50 bucks that bolts down to make springs a breeze.

That is nice but I wonder what can be done about the holes where the plastic straps were bolted in through the panels. The holes would collect all kinds of debris as my truck is used for work.

Could maybe find big enough rubber body plugs like used on firewalls and floors? My truck doesn't have the fancy tailgate lol. Nice that you use yours also for work. Not every day, but mine has served as a chip truck from time to time.

No exciting news on it. Still runs and drives fine. Did an oil change...neat. 281k.

Lobo on the other hand is nearing completion.

I chased down a few oil leaks recently myself. Surprising how quick those little drips add up.

Only external leakage is that oil pan sealant and it is more of a weep than anything.

I bought those brackets to use a 7.3 SD IC. Maybe I will have it done by summer.

Blah, intercoolers are overrated. Mine truck came with all this sh-tuff already on it. Takes away all the fun of building it 😞

You always could redo some interior stuff. How are those 205/30s? Could update that Holset with modern wheels too.
Yes, pretty sure injectors are leaking internally. Oil consumption is higher on a hotter tune using more rail pressure, which is why I believe it is just being burned. If not, then I am just a ****. They are old remans I think or at least the solenoids have a huge 'R" cast into the tops. I am guessing those were done when the truck was traded in around '00 with about 130k. Best I can tell those injectors like that are Motorcraft/Alliant reman units from my research.

I am doing some interior stuff. Just waiting on parts.

I have thought about the new wheel that diesel site offers. 🤔

Most of my work on the truck is just maintenance and trying to figure out what the ham sammich some of it is.
