Back in Houston for some work for past two weeks. I had to charge the truck as it sat for six months. 11.6V were the batts, not as bad as I thought. Got it to 12.1 with a car on it then it spun but not fast enough. Oh well. Got out my box. Few hours at 30A and lit off finally.

Damned cowl leaks. RF drains much slower than LF so I had water inside a sealed cabin. Gross. Mildew and musty. Cleaned it. Tracked down leak. Cowl over fills. Goes into HVAC box. Into cab. Easy enough to fix and keep an eye on in the interim.

Full oil change. So good until 285k. 12.4gal on 163mi. Probably 50/50 city to freeway. Decent econ for it. Obviously AC on entire time.

Every mojo and their hermano want my 300. Probably as it is not some landscape spec con palo shift. I have ECSB XLT con palo.

Flying back to AZ today to finish Expedition. Then going to pick up those azul chairs for it from you. Condenser there. Bomba de petro. Necessita llantas.

That 300 is going to be sweet once you get the 302 PCM dialed in on it and it can breathe!

Here is that nasty drainplug from the M5OD. Fluid was full but black. So not good.

Probably like caca. I fully expect it to need a rebuild as it has 320k on it. Hydraulics date to 2001. Unknown clutch size (10 or11") or if OE Ford.

Pedal box bushings are bad so I am guessing the clutch did not fully release and someone drove it like a cabron!

Next on it are new rear axle studs. Knock out drum brakes. Fuel pump and should run fine on its own. I do know it runs on Bill Cosby In A Can. Once on its own I can see if shifts and how the clutch grabs.

Finally was paroled for nine days, so spent time at home! First day was face down in my own bed and mostly beers.

Junked 16 llantas usadas, installed 10 new. Lobo received four, plus a spare...same with the 4.9. I popped the fuel pump assembly of the 4.9 into a clean trash can, dumped in two gallons, then proceeded to flush the line set. Primed it, started up but ran on five cylinders! Shut down, looked around, restarted, ran on all six. Nice and smooth, but loud as manifolds are open now. Trans went into all five forward gears and reverse, no real issues but assend up in air. I had the Y pipe assembly made round and slipped the ball and socket over it, need to mock up and tack weld. Remove again, burn in on the bench. THEN it will have a full exhaust. 70 Series Flowmaster, Delta Flow I think, into mandrel tailpipe with a nice stainless tip.

Dually still needs injectors. 15/40 cheapo Diesel rated oil hard to find, running some top off SAE 30 for now. Pretty sure going with 160/30s and a 63/70/0.84 drop in, maybe the 205/30s for a hair more if I desire it but doubtful. IC and the turbo I may install first, because why not. Stator plug needs to be replaced, just keep forgetting!

Also, ordered a bunch of bits and bobs over Thanksgiving weekend. Door panel deals for the dually, door panel reinforcement plates for the 4.9 (CP finally includes rivets, perhaps after my strongly worded email), hmm, dash rattle fix bracket, and a fire extinguisher bracket. Bracket is for Bronco and extended cab trucks, it may fit regular cab and four door but I own neither. I purchased the side mount and seems like a fairly solid piece.

Piece seems nice. No instructions so I have to contact to see where the shims go and if bracket goes above or below seat frame. It is about 0.125"

https://www.solomotorsports.com/shop...mount-bracket/ I went with the Kidde unit I also did the side mount as stated. as I have fairly long legs and the OE feuerlöscher in my BMW is often in the way as mounted up front PLUS my truck is a manuel. Hope fits well, then can order one for the '88 and '92. Also, it is a 70-Series big block model for the 4.9

Crap pic when I was looking at it.
