do these tabs at the base of the front fenders attach to the running boards or ??

so the half-assed cruddy weld job I did to seal the hole #1 may show, and #2 may cause fitment issues? Or do you think just the rounded area will matter? Is that piece very visible?

the only angle I had of this truck with that piece, now that I know where it goes, is my profile pic. lol. and yes...it will show.

do I have mine mocked up wrong? does the flat part need to be at the "top" of the fender?

Yes mock up looks wrong, according to this, curve is flush with bottom of fender
