Yep. Power here went out about 8:30. Plugged the fridge into the generator. Coming through VA yesterday I stopped a couple of times to get a gas can, but no dice.
If i empty the can here, the mower tank will be next, followed by the Jeep. I’ve got an old fuel pressure tester that will hook up to the pressure test port, and the gauge is busted on.
But thats going to be to be a while before I go through all that.
Good to hear that others are reporting in and safe. Much flooding and/or damage? I remember Hugo and the damage left behind. Was around 2 tornados and the rather extensive damage from them and it was nothing like Hugo!
Only what the news tells me. I’ve hunkered down, but that might end today. I have a shoulder on the smoker and just put the last of my can of gas in the generator.
Going to head out and see if any of the stations have gas close by. Otherwise I’ll be draining any 4 stroke engines I have around the place.
Sounds good, I know of several line crew companies that have a large number of manpower and equipment. Hope power is restored soon and hope you find some fuel in the area.
