Welp they totaled the ranger, however I'm keeping it and going to keep driving it as is. They made me a offer on it even after "buying it back" that was within a $100 of what I paid for it 16 months ago. Just waiting on the money to clear the bank now.
I'm not lol.. I'm keeping it, gonna keep driving as is, and pocketing the money. Well... putting it into a transmission rebuild.
i was meaning them totaling it... looked superficial to me... my last truck the insurance company said it was only worth $200... so same woulda happened to me.. any damage and total...
spent 8 hrs today doing maintenance on the truck... woulda been a little less than that... but had to run to the next town for some parts since my new boost and emergency return line adapters didnt connect like they were supposed to.. so had to go get the adapters that would fit...
I drain the system, flush with antifreeze, drain, pull the anode on the water heater to drain, pour antifreeze in all the sinks and tub to fill the traps, drain black and gray tanks...
Then I go get a Scotch & Soda.
Reverse in the spring...
So you start with the Scotch and Soda....

Small town living. Lots of running around to find parts last minute.
Got to spend seven days out on Cape Lookout last week. The f150 did great, though the check engine light stayed on the whole time. But the four wheel drive worked fine, didn't get stuck once. Got it home and vacuumed it out and got it washed quickly to get most of the salt and sand off of it. We cooked a 12 lb shoulder one night, and 20 lb's of shrimp another. Picked up hickory for the shoulder, still have quite a bit left. going to do another one soon, since I picked up two because they were on sale. Had a total of 15 people (kids outnumbered adults) on the trip. Worked the cast net a lot since I was having good luck with it over the surf rods.

problem was the adapter fittings that came with the lines didnt adapt to the fittings i had... so had to go find ones that would to the new ones... got lucky the store had "just enough" for me to finish the install...

Certainly having some hot days this August. Though I think I do remember years where it has been worse.
