I have a 1990 F150 with a instrument cluster without a tach. Has anyone changed one of these out with a cluster with the factory tach? I don't know if the harness needs to be changed or not to make it work.
IIRC retrofits to vans were popular and you might find a lot of info in the van forum. I thought about it doing it myself but decided that the 351w actually likes for you to run the snot out of it and I didn't care what the tach said anyway.
IIRC - If I Remember Correctly. Useful with gray hair.
Is that stroker one that you can install without a rebore? I usually think of strokers as limiting RPM but if you don't have big weight changes and rebalancing it probably isn't much concern. I'd probably run the snot out of it anyway.
I've got a tack cluster for your truck if you're looking, mine retired @ 470,000 miles due to body rot. Still sitting here on the farm. '89 F250 4wd 460 5 spd. I'm not all that sure how we can respond here as there is no email links of any kind to use. Thanks
