I have a 92 (new style) E150 XLT With the E4OD auto.... I want to find a factory tach from a F150 will they be compatible?

 

The tach itself is probably the same, but the face (the black piece of plastic) is probably specific to the cluster, so a pickup tach probably won't physically fit into your cluster even if it's electrically compatible.

 

I was thinking about trying to find a complete cluster from a truck and then trying to retro-fit it... I may just go Sunpro and some pods.

I have looked at it before..... the actual cluster is identical to the truck except for the gauge displays.... the viewing area in the dash is molded a little differently, but the clusters look to be identical.
