Wow. Beautiful truck. I looked it up in my 95 product brochure, and it shows that to be Light Opal Clearcoat Metallic. And the interior trim color would be Ruby Red.
It doesn't give paint codes, but I think Light Opal is M6796.

Awesome this site shows Light Opal for 1994 Ford Trucks. It shows the paint code as being M6631 Thanks for your help!

I notice if you continue in that site, it shows M6631 WM as the paint code for Ford trucks, 1994 and 1995. Then it shows M6796 WO as the paint code for Ford trucks, 1996 and 1997. Didn't know they ever gave different codes to the same paint. Don't know what WM or WO mean, pretty sure my door stickers just have the M code number. (Also see Glasurit uses the Ford numbers-Glasurit is good paint) Anyway, it's nice looking OBS/9th Gen truck.

It looks like in 97 they offered a WO and a WM, with the WO being slightly darker.
The original post looks to be a darker shade like yours.
That truck also has the pre 95 doors on it.

Paint codes varied depending on mfg. plant and supplier. Today you may see 10 variations of a given color...

I discovered that when I bought a quart of this WM paint.
Internal documents from the paint supplier showed slightly different formulations within the same year/code and it was up to the buyer to select the correct one for the application.
Makes it difficult to paint repairs seamlessly unless you are good at blending.

Hmmm..that sucks. I'm hoping to go with the LIGHTER version of Opal and if it varies that may defeat the purpose.

It was a pretty minor difference between the two products of the same code if that matters.

And that MAY be the specific manufacturer I sourced - Third Dimension -(Sherwin Williams).
Other paint companies may just go with a one size fits all....

Take truck with you and compare paint chips to your existing if you are not doing a complete re-spray.

Is that your truck or just an example of a color you want?

I just had mine repainted with the same code, but PPG paint in bc/cc and the new paint is not exactly the same as the old OEM paint - you can see it in the door jambs.

And the Third Dimension I bought years ago was a single stage urethane and it looks different too, but I think it was because that seemed to have more metallic in it than OEM.

Good luck!
