My son and I are repainting his 1996 F150. The color code is W8866, but no one shows this code listed, any suggestions? The only opton that I am aware of is taking a panel to the paint store and letting them scan it for matching.

 

Paint codes are only 2 digits usually.

That's where I found the paint code. It's a fleet truck, so I'm wondering if its a custom color? Thanks.

 

Its entirely possible it was a custom color. Have you called a body shop to see what they say.

 

I've called a body shop and several paint shops. I think I will have to just try to match it. Thanks for the help.
