I have been driving the wheels off of my F1 this past two months. Last t week I put 375 miles on it round trip and a couple 50 mile trips. Feeling pretty cocky until Friday night when the missus and I cruised for burgers. Truck was running good until on the way home when the truck stalled at rush hour. Obvious fuel problem so had to get it towed home.
Had a chance to look at it last night, and after first checking the electrical circuits for the EEC and fuel pump (5.0L EFI) I sourced the problem to be the fuel pump relay (original 1990 relay) These trucks can be humbling at times, but after driving them for a few years you get to know their idiosyncrasies.
