Fuel relay

I'm working on getting fuel system runnning; having trouble with fuel relay. I can get fuel relay to pickup momentarily but it releases after about 2 seconds. I have connected the inertia switch (using Crown Victoria EEC IV) and electric fuel pump in circuit, thinking I may have a problem with grounding or does the fuel relay latch through the EEC module. I have voltage to inertia switch upon keying ignition, then it drops out. Any ideas ?

what you have so far is correct. the ecm sends a short signal to prevent vapor lock. when you crank the pump should go on again and stay on while it is cranking. if there is no signal that the engine is cranking or running there will not be power to the fuel pump relay

Thanks Rusty, I'll try to get fuel to flow to injectors this weekend, hopefully fire the thing after 2 years.

Fired the 5.0 !

Well I had time today to connect fuel to the beast and fired the 5.0 for the first time in 2 years ! It cranked and fired the first try, so thanks to those that contributed to getting to this point. In a weak moment today, I actually fantisized that I may complete this project, Just passed the two year anniversary today. I also caught myself thinking about the next rebuild project.
