I have a 2011 F-350 Super Duty 4x4 with electronic Locker. I use it when pulling a 1,000 gallon water trailer off road to help avoid spinning rear wheels. Today I was in high range 4 wheel rear locked and got stuck on a hill with a full load. I disconnected offloaded the water to a truck tank and got out. Now the dash indicator for the locker is not on and I'm not sure but I think the locker is not working. Is there a fuse in the power distribution box that controls this? If so does anybody know which one it is. Arizona is in record setting draught and I need to haul water just about every day so really need this to work.
Fuse #40 in the engine compartment is shown in the manual as the 4x4 electronic lock. Don’t see anything specific for the rear locker, so check out that fuse
Thank You everybody for your reply's. Checked the fuses for the 4x4 electronic lock and the 4x4 module they were both good. 4x4 is working so I'm getting by but wish I could track down this problem.
Talked with a Ford Diesel mechanic and he said check fuses 39,40, 53 and 84. All good
Take it to somebody who can run a diagnostic on the 4x4 module which I will do when I'm done hauling water.
Check the coil and wiring at the axle haven't rolled underneath yet but will do.
