2016 F250 xlt w/ 42k+ miles. intermittently when I turn the key off the dash may or may not remain lit and the radio display will remain on and I get the chime as if I had opened the door with the key in. If I get out and close the door the display starts flashing rapidly and I can hear what sounds like a relay clicking rapidly near the pass. floor. After a few on and off cycles it will turn off normal but not consistently. I fear it won't stop one of these times. locking the rig either with the fob or manually doesn't help. I did have warranty work done when the display started setting off all the bells and whistles which they assumed was the connector near the park brake . Instead of attempting to fix the connector they replaced the ENTIRE interior harness which meant gutting the entire interior including the complete dash, seats, carpet, etc. I was very skeptical but it was under warranty and until now there have been no issues. I did at least a 10 page search and haven't heard of this one. Has anyone else???
I haven't heard of this myself, but if they replaced the whole harness under warranty and the truck has 42K, I would assume it's all still under warranty. I'd take it back and have it fixed right. If you're not comfortable with this dealer, take it to another one.
I just figured out how to sort of solve the problem. The #1 upfitter switch was on. turning it off fixed it. It never did that before so something is shorting somewhere because I have never hooked up the switches to anything.
