On my 2016 f350 yesterday I smelled something burning. the dash said something like shutting down to conserve battery, then the screen shut down. when t use the signal lights they flash fast, the remote or ley pad wont unlock the doors and all the heater and radio controls wont work. the truck runs fine except the everything cycling when driving like when you first turn the key on. and its off warranty by about 5 k

Wow, a little disappointing you haven;t received any replies. I am no electrical guru, however on one of my trucks, the large electrical connector down by the parking brake pedal worked its way loose, and caused just about everything you described, sans the smell.

Took it to the ford dealer and it the trailer wiring harness under the dash, for some reason it didn't blow the fuse and burnt the wires. as I said it off warranty but I have taken the truck to the dealer for all the maintenance and Safty checks so I was told they will try to get it repaired at no cost to me. hopefully they will if not I am sure my insurance will come good for it.
