Looking for some input on new tires. I just picked up a new Cyclone 4005 a big upgrade from our last 5th wheel. The hitch weight is at 3540 lbs. I am still using the stock 18s on my F250 and those have a weight rating of 3600 lbs. I wanted to get some input on new tires and rims. I wanted to get tires with a 4000 lbs rating and I think I will have to bump up to 20s.

You have an F250 and the trailer has a pin weight of 3540 lbs. You didn't say what F250 you have and I know the truck will likely haul the trailer, and I am certainly not the payload police but... consider that the pin weight is 1.5 times the payload capacity of _my_ truck, a 2017 F250 CCSB, FX4 6.7.
You are right to consider the weight ratings of the tires as that is a critical component. I looked at F350s when I bought my 250 and if I remember correctly the SRW F350's payload is right about 3500 lbs. And I think the OE tire is the same tire on my 250.
Cooper ST/MAXX here, but I wanted a bit more of an aggressive look and use the truck for 4x4 work sometimes. I bought my first set of Cooper tires about 12 years ago, since then I have bought no other kind of tires except GoodYear Endurance for the trailer.
Cooper makes a great product at very reasonable prices.

Any input??????? Ummmmm......20,000 Gross trailer weight is kind of like dually territory!!!!
Wishing you the best of luck!
The Michelins I used to have on my 2015 F350 were rated at 3750 lbs each. That's about as good as I know of and they did really well.
As mentioned, that's a lot of pin on an F250. I'll bet you the pin weighs closer to 4000 lbs. unless you throw something really heavy in the back.
I can't stand the weight police either on forums (so NEVER mention your set-up on RV.NET) but I think you're well over your numbers. Best of luck though.

You may not like the forum weight police but when someone gets killed on the highway the real weight police aren’t going to back down.
