I have been a good doggie and I have run a search. I did not find any hits. Since I leveled the front of my truck my high beams are pointed at the sky. They were already too high when I bought it. Now it's just silly. Does anybody know is there is an adjustment screw for the high beams? I know where it is for the low beams, I found that.
It is the same adjustment screw for both. I my opinion is a poor design, because if they are not adjusted correctly when the headlights are assembled your will never get them correct without pulling the headlight assembly out and adjusting them individually.
With my lift kit in the truck, I couldn't get my low beams low enough for my liking. I ended up readjusting the headlights as a whole by loosening up at the tabs.
You can't adjust high and low beams. When you turn the screw it adjusts the reflector bowls.... The high and low beams come from the same bulb....so it's honestly a matter of either your bulb is bad or the whole housing is jacked up.
Couple things you can do.
Change bulbs (led upgrade)
Adjust the housing.
Double check to make sure your gaskets are installed correctly between the light bulb and the socket. If possible....double up on gaskets or get thinner gaskets to adjust the position of the bulb in the reflector bowl.
Lastly verify that your bulb isn't 180 degrees out. The low beam filament should point towards the little cover inside the reflector bowl.
These headlights weren't very well thought out when they engineered them. I kinda can't wait to do my projector retrofit.
He has the LEDs, it’s a completely different adjustment. I think the response up here is complete re adjustment. My low beams are low enough, the cutoff is amazing and good light. I do agree when the high beams are on(with the lows on) they are high, but that is because the lows cover the low, the highs are meant to go farther and higher. They ar high enough you can’t drive in heavy snow the reflection back is hard on the eyes. But when on dark back roads with no other light, they are great, they light up far down the road and up at least 25feet on mine too. At least this way when driving did own the road with high on the oncoming know when you turn them down. Auto high beam is great.
Here is a pix of the rear of the LED housing. You can adjust the high separate from the low but you would have to remove the housing to do so and have an idea how many turns are needed to lower the high.
