Horrible vibration and shake/wobble. Vibration started about 20 miles ago while driving on the highway around 70-80 mph. Initially it only shook going above 30 but on a test drive today, it shook going around 5mph. About 150 miles ago, I noticed a noise while in 4x4 and I ignored it. Then, I started hearing a howling noise while driving in 2wd. Model type and recent services below. Any recommendations on what to check? Another person recommeded for me to Check the u joints, if you have a 2 piece rear driveshaft check the center support bearings and with a lowered truck and if not the bearing is not lowered, you could be inducing your own new problem. Thanks so much!

Timken. My driver side front hub failed before and the truck wobbled but this time, it is significantly different and worse. it's undriveable now due to this. before, I could drive on a bad hub and it just made it annoying.
Ill inspect the driveshaft u-joints. I briefly tested one for play while in neutral and there was some play. I have zero experience with u-joints and driveshafts. should there be any play at all?
How tall of lift did you install? Did you shim the carrier bearing? The only way to really check the u-joints on the drive shaft is to remove it completely. And no there shouldn’t be any play in the joints.

I have no idea. bought it as is and its been lifted since at least around 90k miles.

Mechanic is looking at it and after test driving it, he believes something inside the front differential is messed up
