Hey guys, this is my first post. I was replacing my rear drivers side speaker, and I broke the top tab that holds the door handle in. I've tried searching but can only find the handle, and not the part the handle sits in. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
This is the type post that really begs for a picture of what the hell you're talking about. If you mean one of the tabs off the back side of the interior door panel you'll most likely have to find something in a salvage yard to replace it.
It's a molded piece in the window regulator. You have to replace the whole window regulator. How did it break ? I know if you put that door handle pin in upside down it will break it off.
But anyway go to Rock Auto online and buy a new Motorcraft window regulator for the left rear door. You can re-use your old motor, unless you just want a new motor too. Navigator door window regulator at Rock Auto
Double check the orientation of that handle pin when you're re-installing it. Don't force it in.
That piece you are talking about AND the window regulator, is a ONE :PIECE item. They are not individual parts. You have to replace the window regulator to get that molded in piece you are talking about. If you want to fix it correctly you have to install a new window regulator.
