Are you familiar with how to adjust doors on a 77 f100. I took the door and hinges off to clean an repair. Now I can’t get it back lined up, if you know a way I can get it back line up I will greatly appreciate it.
You really should start your own thread for this, but here's how I did mine:
Carry the door over to the truck, push it into the jamb and latch it. Then loosely bolt up the hinges. Next grab two paint-stirring sticks, or snap one in half. Carefully open the door without letting it fall, and set a stir stick on the rocker panel where it will support the door when it's closed. Then put the other stir stick in the C-pillar jamb to the rear of the door.
(I don't remember exactly how I got the C-pillar stick in there - either I somehow held it in the jamb while closing the door, or I got the door like half closed, and then stuck the stick in. The one on the rocker will stay put as long as you lift the door a little when closing it.)
Now lift up and push the door to its fully latched position, and tighten down the hinges. That should get you close with the alignment, but you might need to adjust your striker.

To follow up on this post I found a 3.70 rear end and swapped it out yesterday. Just did a short test run the truck feels so much better now. Also I knew my trans was out of a different truck and had the wrong speed gear. Now the speedometer is only a few mph off.
