Truck has been sitting for awhile , battery's weren't turning it over very fast but it started.
I started down the street and see the red battery light is on.
I went back home , shut it off and that was it , wouldn't even turn over.
Put charger on for a hour and it still wont turn over? Starter maybe?
Take your batteries and alternator out and have them tested. Sounds like a bad battery or batteries. The alternator is a breeze to remove and replace - 5 minutes tops to take out.

The alternator being bad wouldn't stop it from turning over would it?
Try batteries first maybe?
If you have one with a dead cell or two, really adds to the charging time and ability to start it depending on the chargers abilities.
I'm sure you know well enough to not drive it that way though
Yes I know about batterys going bad , but this truck started 3 minutes before it wouldn't turn over again. Its dead doesn't even try and turn over , no click no nothing.
Well that's not unusual either. Depending on the amp rate an hour charge isn't enough to do much of anything.
Only way to really eliminate the battery as a source of trouble is to load test them. Charge them up thoroughly before trying that. See if they hold their charge overnight etc. Have to first charge them each individually unless you have a big *** charger. Then see what the voltage drop is during cranking.
Did your old batteries load test bad after charging?
Have you tried cranking using the starter solenoid wire jumpered to the battery positive terminal? By doing this, you can eliminate an issue w/ the PCM preventing the cranking for some reason.

Certain engine problems can cause a no-crank that is unrelated to batteries or starters. Using the solenoid wire jumpered to the battery can show you that the starter is OK if it cranks with that jumper wire. It will also show you that the PCM is preventing the crank.
Cranking w/ the starter solenoid wire jumpered to battery positive (disconnect starter solenoid wire at the connector along passenger side of engine compartment, and touch on battery positive to crank). It is a yellow wire with light blue striped colored wire adjacent to the passenger side battery in the engine compartment, near the vacuum pump that has a "squeeze-and-pull" type connection. https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.for...4f576a8117.jpg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.for...4dbf37c83c.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.for...5b1619332d.jpg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.for...26c7cadcb7.jpg
If it cranks just fine w/ the jumper wire, then:
1. Check fuse f2-22
2. see if it cranks with the shift lever in neutral
3. Check to see if the fuel pump is running with the key on
4. Inspect the fan clutch wire for damage
5. Inspect the EBP sensor wiring for damage
6. With a scan tool, check the v-reference voltage when cranking w/ the key
7. Check/reset the inertia switch

I see a past owner has had problems with that wire? Its not as you described its a yellow no stock wire with do it yourself connectors.
But anyway i turned key on and jumped it , and it started.
Don't understand the past owner post as a question, or the yellow no stock wire part, but all righty then ...
Someone has cut the stock wire out and replaced it with another wire.
When I went looking for the wire to jump from I found a butchered wire instead of stock one.
Someone replaced or has been messing with that wire for some reason.
Comment was a observation of what I found.
