fuel injector
my 02 excursion when I accelerate for a short period makes a knocking sound like a diesel.....I've been told it could be dirty injectors anybody have any suggestions or know this to be true?

Crap, I forgot the evil smiley in my last post. 
I was gonna tease you some and tell you it's normal, diesels are supposed to sound that way, but because you're new I figured I'd tease less, but I forgot the smiley!
So are you hearing detonation under load? Some describe the sound as like a can of marbles being shaken, but I don't equate the sounds as alike.
