Cheap alternator problems?
I had a guy replace my alternator around a year ago and the battery light never goes off but i Am getting plenty of voltage. I think it’s just from the cheap alternator he put on there! You guys have any solutions besides replacing it with an oe part?

Might be a ground or other loose connection. That may eventually kill the alternator, or maybe it is already damaged. The light could be indicating either or both conditions.
I suggest chasing all connections in the charging circuit including grounds to engine, body, and frame.
But this will take a little more time than taping over the light.

Actually quite common problem, alternator working OK & Voltmeter says OK, but the light stays ON. The light is on because the ground leg of the alt light circuit has gone low. Root cause is either a regulator issue or a wiring (most likely ASI connector) issue. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...r-reading.html
Would closely inspect the ASI connector for a bent/broken pin, else punt this alternator in favor of a new 130 amp unit fr ebay/Amazon.
