Holley 94 carb question

Hello all,
I have a 56 F250 with a 272 with a holley 94 type carb. The carb has been rebuilt starts, runs and idles fine but, it stalls when braking. Can anyone offer any suggestions as to where I start to resolve this problem?

Thanks
Tom

Does the problem only occur when braking hard, or whenever you lift off the throttle?
Check to see that your vacuum advance is working.
Does the truck seem to be running rich?

Hi Tom

I dunno the answer to the problem though noticed you've only averaged about 3.142857142857143 posts annually since 2004. Need to step it up a bit!

With the 94 and 2110 (your carb), power valves are always suspect. They will just dump gas into the carb if the diaphragm is ruptured, especially under high vacuum (like at idle or coastdown). If you take the carb off, and take the lid off it, and the lower throttle section, fill the bowl with gas and let it sit for a while. If gas leaks all over the workbench the PV is bad.
