I had my dealer try to add this screen based on previous post where someone posted the steps they need to add it. My dealer went through the steps, and it said it was enabled, but there is no new screen. This is for a 2017 F350. Do you guys know if there is a separate step to actually add the screen after it's been enabled with IDS.
I did not watch them enable it. I had taken a screen shot with my phone of the post that was put up here showing what the dealer needed to do with their IDS software. They said they put everything in based on what I sent them and no screen came up. Does someone on here no the exact steps the dealer needs to get this screen added? I don't plan on changing anything else to warrant having Forscan.
Given that I haven't heard of any failures with the edit in IDS/Forscan yet, I'd be willing to bet your dealership edited the wrong line. Its pretty easy to do, I almost did it.
Why not get an elm327 cable/adapter and do it yourself? I got mine for less than 10 bucks on ebay.
Exactly.. Super cheap hardware and free software. You'll have the ability to modify many things if you choose. I've used it on my new truck, my old man's truck and my best friend's rig.
I just did mine today in FORScan. Once I had DPF endabled, I ran through the IC and the gauge wasn't there. I had to go into the screen menu (you know, the one you control with the arrows on the steering wheel) and add gauges option for it to turn on for display. So, it might be enabled, you just can't see it.
