I installed a Rexing dash camera in my 2015 F-350 today. The system ties into with a fuse tap into the interior fuse box. I originally was wanting to tie into fuse 23 as it is a spare circuit. When I tied into the curcuit it seems to have power all the time. Is there a fuse that only gives power when the ignition is on, and if so which fuse is it? I also tested with the climate control circuit and ignition circuit, but they seem to be powered with the ignition off as well.
Do you have a sunroof? Easiest is to tap the wire above the overhead bin.
the sunroof is a 20amp fuse, I ended up going into fuse 44, which is the auxiliary switch fuse. I cycled the ignition and it worked as advertised. Give me a few weeks and I’ll hopefully learn all the gimmicks of the camera, but so far the only down side is the camera doesn’t show my speed, I have to view the footage on my computer to do that.
