pulled the 360 today

pulled the 360 and c-6 out of my 71 today to make room for the 302 / 4r70w. never had an FE before, holy crap it's a heavy sob, it actually bent the engine stand. it's a 4 leg stand I got from summit or jegs a few years back, supposed to have a 1200 lb capacity, guess they lied lol.

Yeah they are heavy. The intake manifold alone weighs over 80lbs.

Wish you lived closer...I'd take the 360 off your hands as a spare for my truck.

it sat for like 22 years. it actually runs pretty good, but it smokes bad under load, i'm sure the rings are stuck from sitting

Heck, if they used steel beer cans it would probably be OK. I just meant to say it's obviously junk, whatever it's made of. I tried to use an inexpensive can opener once (and only once), that folded right in half, it was that weak couldn't believe it. I just buy "antiques" now if I need anything like that.
