Outside key pad

2018 Ford Flex
Can I over ride the fob and leave it in the car and access with the keyless entry

Yes. Try it with the window down first if you’re nervous about trying it

Yes. It won't work if you lock the door from the inside button, but using the outside 4+5 buttons works fine.

Yes. I do it all the time.

Stash the the keys in the center storage compartment (or anywhere inside) and when you close the locked door - the Expedition will recognize that you’ve left the keys inside, unlock and toot the horn twice.

Nice feature so so you don’t get locked out.

As as mentioned above - press the 4 and 5 outside key button in the door and it will lock, with the keys inside.

When you return, enter your secret code to unlock the doors.
