So out of nowhere, my door keypad decides to quit working. A couple weeks ago, i reprogrammed a key fob to the truck cuz my dog chewed up the other one, but other than that nothing. The keypad lights up still when i press keys, but when i put the code in, it does nothing. The far right two buttons dont even lock the doors anymore where if id push em twice it would lock the doors and blow the horn.
When I reprogramed a key fob I had to do the door keypad as well or it wouldn't work. Look in the manual and see if it says how to program the keypad then do it and all key fobs at the same time.
As i understand it there are two types of key pads.
One is a wired and the other is wireless that is held
on with double-side tape. If you are hitting the lock door
button set and nothing is happening I would bet on a bad
key pad.
Here are some PDFs that you may find handy with the Pin Point
Testing.
The RKE PDF is the diagram of the wiring. The other two are
testing info.
