Try what m-Chan68 suggests and spray brake clean not ether into the intake and see if it will fire. This very well could be a fuel issue. Does the fuel bowl on top of the engine fill quickly with fuel?
Yes fills very quickly, psi is 75lbs with new blue spring kit.
Ok, been a couple of weeks ,so after this truck driving me out of my mind, finally figured it out, at one point after going 13 rounds, I threw in the towel , had it towed to the Ford dealer , they had it 3 days, tech said your out of time , I said no freaking way, I triple checked it, both techs were convinced it was, so had it towed home, so $170 for the dealer, $250 for towing , pull the engine the next day, timing was spot on. So I make up a make shift compression tool, 6 out of 8 cylinders 0 zero compression , pull heads everything is fine, reassemble the heads without pushrods, air tested each cylinder, 100% ok, come to find out valves are not closing, pushrods are too long, contact the Machinist who did the heads, he said everything is in spec , he said he emailed them to the company I purchased the custom rebuild kit, contacted that guy after a couple of calls and emails, he sent the wrong pushrods, he overnighted, new pushrods and the truck fired right up.. I am now a Professional Shade Tree Diesel Mechanic, lol, thanks for everyone who chimed in with their thoughts, sorry it's is so long ,but just wanted to have an ending with this thread seeing how there are so many with none, thanks again everyone, Dave
Too long of push rods huh didn’t see that coming. Glad it’s running for you.
Thanks for posting the fix fix to the issue.
Oh Yeah, I definitely didn't see that one coming, snuck around when I wasn't looking, hopefully someone having the same issues will see this and at least have another idea to llok too.
