Alternator: I have a 2004 Ford F-350 crew can Dually 4x4 .

I have a single alternator setup. It has a 110 amp alternator. My battery light goes on and off I replaced the connector plug . Because I was told that they can go bad and the battery light is still going off and on ? Can I replace my single setup alternator setup with a 135 amp or a 140 amp alternator? And still keep it a single alternator setup ? And if I can do I have to do any modifications like changing the Lully or the serpentine belt ? Please help ! My email address isjakehd2008@yahoo.com
