Hey guys my truck just generated these two codes U0074 and U0106. I've had my truck deleted for about 10k miles now without a hiccup. I've done some research on this and they all point to moisture in the unplugged plugs. But I'd rather get my info from everyone here than just random forums on the internet.
U codes are communication errors. Is possible to be moisture or corrosion in a plug. Appears you have a problem with a connector on the glow plug control module. It might be loose or moisture.
Know this is an old post and my searches didn't return anything newer... but how do you go about tracking down these 3 wire sensors? Have a 13 250 6.7 deleted and getting these two codes. Already replaced the glow plug module and that is when the U0106 code showed up. Erased and it came back after about 250 miles.
Thoughts or does anyone know where I can find a diagram of the modules and wiring?

So my issue was corrosion in the unplugged plugs. theres a kit that has all the dead plugs but i didn't install it back than, after my issue I found the corroded plug, cleaned it out, jellied again and dead plugged it. Before the dead caps I had jelly in the ends but the salt still got to the wiring. Look for any plugs that you have hanging from the delete, you'll probably find a corroded plug.
Hopefully I made sense and that the kinda pointed you in some direction.
I also had my def tank plug corrode really bad and that screwed with the truck too so check that as well. Corrosion isn't fun haha
Well corrosion must have been the issue! Thanks Liquid10Rider! I tracked down all the open plugs and cleaned really well, jellied and taped. I didn't find the kit for the dead plugs - any ideas where to look or what they are marketed as? Overall, glad to see that the CEL if off!!
