hello everyone im getting codes P0671 through 77 (glow plug circut) would this be solved by just installing new plugs or is their more i need to look at??
It is either the module itself that is bad or the plugin is not fully seated. Module is a box mounted on the front of the passenger side valve cover it has 2 plugs one green one black.
If you have a clamp on amp meter you can isolate each harnes wire cluster and clamp the meter on one at a time and have an assistant turn on the key and see if ya get a reading. Roughfully 40 amps per circuit 300 amps total +or-
You can further isolate by testing individual wires but ya need to know the color code to do any good.
One more question for everyone, I bought this truck and seems to me the last owner did alot to it. I pulled the reports and I can see most stuff he has done. Is their any way to tell if he did a blue spring other then looking?
You have to do a fuel pressure test. That is the fastest way and
you get an answer that you can count on.
On the GPM (Glow Plug Module) up plug the plug and look at the contacts
sometimes they can get wet and cause a problem. Use some electrical
contact cleaner and then apply some dielectric grease to the contacts
reassemble, clear codes and test. If all is good then it was just some
corrosion that caused the problem.
well i just put a new GPCM on the truck I pushed the connectors down as far as I could get them but it didnt feel like they snaped in. They look to be as far down as they will go, and Im still getting p0671 through like 7 now what should I check?

I read on this very forum, that if the dealer had done it, they often put a blue dot on the cover. I've not actually seen this, but that's the word on the street.
When I was debating doing the blue spring on mine, i read through all these write ups on how to put a fuel pressure guage in line to check. Then it occurred to me that the spring was cheaper to just do and skip all the diagnostics. I don't owned a lot of mechanical diagnostic tools already and the price for a guage plus the hardware to connect it was more than just buying the kit.
