You would think I would know that since my son's 1995 F150 is MAF and OBD-I. Sometimes the stuff that comes out of my fingers is disappointingly stupid. :-(
Is the trans harness different between OBD-I and OBD-II? Could he just source a correct OBD-II E4OD ECU and then use his existing trans harness from the donor truck?
I rebuilt that 4R70W so taking it apart is no problem to for me. But i dont have the 4x4 shaft or extension housing for a 4R70W and the E4OD from the donor has been recently rebuilt also so thats why I wanted to use it

That’s pretty funny. I completely understand.
The ‘94 Bronco 302 (EDIT: w/ E4OD) I had was MAF and OBD-I.
I've been considering a 4wd conversion for my 94 for a while. Actually thought about it on my previous 95. Both are MAF with 4R70W. I believe for pre 96 this is the only configuration that got the mass air setup. I now remember reading a post someone made years ago with a silver F150 with 4wd and a 4R70W, so they may not be very common but were produced. I agree that converting everything to and OBDII E40D configuration would be much more difficult than just getting the appropriate 4R70W components.
As you know, Ty, I will be converting my son's '95 F150 to 4x4 this summer. His truck is also MAF, OBD-I, and 4R70W. However, the donor truck is an '89 with AOD so I will just treat this as a conversion to manual trans as far as the ECU is concerned.

Sounds reasonable to me. I don't see why that wouldn't work.
