is the Standard Motor Products APS 102 the replacement part for my truck? I need the complete assembly. This looks identical to what is in my truck but the sites say it is not compatable for my truck
The APS 102 is for 99 to 2003 and the APS 101 is for 96 - 97 model years. I don't know why a pedal assy for a 96 won't work in a 95 or 94.5. Could be connectors or mounting differences. I'm assuming you don't have a pedal assy there to look at and cross reference some part numbers. Hopefully someone with a 95 will come along to help you if you haven't already solved this.
One of the connectors is different; I forget whether it's the IV switch or the position sensor. Pedal itself looks quite different, but IIRC, the mount points are pretty similar.
I recently purchased the APS 101 for my 95 F350, the frame is shaped different and the mounting points won't fit on the 95. The TPS and IVS are identical to the 95. My truck has a very random stumble when starting to move from a stop so I wanted to try a different TPS to see if it corrects my problem. Swapped the new APS 101 TPS into the truck - so far all is good.
On my son's truck, i was having issues trying to slow cruise out the driveway. It being a manual, it was neckbreaking at times. My issue was the IVS was closing too early. I was able to adjust the IVS watching AE & tps % and get it resolved. Not sure if that could be your stumble or not.
Thank you all for your replies.
My issue is I have only half pedal. Meaning I go halfway on accelerator and after that no change in engine response. Floor it and trans will downshift.
I suspected tps .
Had truck in the shop for new fan clutch and front rotors and pads.
I had them test the tps and definitely is bad. Napa seems not to have the sensor. No luck finding on eBay. Anyone know who carries the tps sensor?
I would rather not have to buy the whole assembly.
