64 Driveshaft Length
I'm in the middle of my CV conversion (1964 F100) and started looking at what I'm going to need for a drive shaft. My truck is a long bed and will need around a 72"-73" driveshaft.
Anyone have an idea of how long the stock one was? Or recommend a newer factory one I can get cut down to fit?
I would prefer to stay with a one piece instead of two shafts and a support bearing. Thanks in advance!!!

I always felt that 60 inches was about as long as you could make one and have it be safe. You need to get in touch with a driveline company. A driveshaft that long will need to be very large diameter and properly balanced. Keep in mind that the longer that thing is the more it is going to want to play jump rope under your truck. You may have to use a two piece shaft.
