Magnum headache rack with a metal tonneau cover

How is the rack secured over a retractable metal hard tonneau cover like a Retrax Pro MX or other cover? Is it less stable as a result?
Here's one photo I found of an install:

Has anyone got this setup installed? I know the Magnum mounts to the stake pockets, of course, and the Retrax clamps to the rails but I think the big question is will the feet on the magnum clear the Retrax rails or will they sit up on them? Retrax can't answer this question either, unfortunately.

Email magnum they respond very quickly. Great customer service. Maybe they will know.

If that tonneau cover is similar to the FORD OEM hard roll up then they will work together. I want to state though I was told this by my ford parts department. He told me that the OEM Ford hard rolled tonneau rest against the lower bars and stops before it reaches The mounting base. From that photo, that certainly seems like the case but, I too haven’t actually seen this setup in person. Im installing the Ford OEM Hard Aluminum rolling tonneau (think Bak makes it) and yesterday I asked the dealership to bring in this rack too. They’ve agreed to allow me to try this setup without commitment. Pictures to follow (hopefully by next week).

I might add if I except that rack I will be modifying it so I can use the CHMSL camera.

If you look at the photo I posted up top, it looks like the Magnum is sitting partially on the metal rail of the tonneau cover. The inside edge of the base is on the tonneau cover metal rail while the outer edge seems to be siting free in space unsupported. You can probably place some sort of rubber material under the free part but it's never going to be as supportive as a hard surface. That's why I'm wondering just how secure the rack really is.

Also it appears the low version of the rack obscures the cab mounted rear camera that is supposed to be an aid when hitching up to your trailer.

so there is a high version. My dealer didn’t share this with me (not on purpose I’m sure).
I see now about the rail. I think I’d have to cut the locking rail ( if the ford one locks ) as to allow it to move up and down.

So. I just finished doing my own research. Two things: 1st I suspect that tonneau cover is either non lockable, modified rails or it’s retractable. It also looks like you don’t need to use the stake pockets. 2nd if you don’t want to modify the headache rack and have the CHSML camera then you have to choose the service body truck rack. (Likely the 16” or 18”)

Based on this video I’d say the OEM tonneau will work with the Magnum headache rack
