I am swapping my 4" for an 8" Cluster and I am having an issue getting the IPC to write my 4" asbuilt data to the 8" IPC. I saved my asbuilt .abt from the 4" and then swapped the cluster and went to load the .abt and it fails every time at 40% when using the write all soft key. I am getting the following errors on the screen of the 8" (check rear park aid, check 4wd, front camera malfuntion) I do not have rear park aid or a front camera, I have 4wd but floor shifter. I am running 2.3.13 on Forscan. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi there. I have a 2017 F250 XLT as well. I have tried everything to write to the IPC module, and it never works!!! All of the other modules work. I am looking for help too, as you seem to have the same error.
What version are you running? Make sure you are upgraded to 2.3.13 and try completely uninstalling and reinstalling ForScan. Mine magically started working after doing the above and went through without any issues. Good luck mate.
I have the same one as you listed above! I wanted the USB because my laptop sucks, and i am not sure it has bluetooth.
I noticed I had an error when my stereo wouldnt' display the volume anymore when adjusted, and the bass/treble/mid control was at the max. Turns out the code to remove sirius from the screen was really messing things up. Luckily I saved a backup,
and reset the APIM module to the original. Then I went in 1 by 1 and modified the codes. Found that "Remove Sirius" code to be the culprit.
I had not tried the IPC codes again, because they hadn't worked before, which was disappointing. I may send the device back to amazon if I need the $79.95 bluetooth model to get some other functions.
That is essentially what I had when I had problems. ( i had added a toggle switch to mine though ) I switched to the Obdlink mx bluetooth and had no more problems.

Well this sucks, looks like I will try and return the one i have, and get that OBDlink MX.. haha. I guess I should have gone that route in the beginning!

Newbie here with my F350 Lariat on it's way. Question? What the heck is "swapping my 4" for an 8" cluster". Man, I have so much to learn b4 my new rig arrives. First truck and first diesel. Been around cars all my life, turned a wrench since I was a kid when I was poor and had no money to pay anyone. Now, I like to do my own work for relaxation. Funny how things change!
