Oil temp

is an oil temp of 108 Celsius too much. I believe my thermostat is stuck open and my coolant temp is 85 Celsius. What would be the recommendation back flush cooling system and re check? Or go right for a new oil cooler? Any insight would be appreciated. Oh and ambient air temp was -7 Celsius with a winter front on the truck.

If your oil is 226°F+ running empty them yes it's overdue for an oil cooler change. But first do a proper coolant flush.
And your thermostat is right at the lowest temp you want to see when hot. +186°F to 192°F is desirable.

Oil cooler kits

Where have you guys found the best kits for the oil cooler? Also while I’m there I might as well add the egr delete. What are some of the better kits Available? Also what are the temps that the 6.0 oil cooler run at normally?

What year model? If it’s an early ‘03 make sure you get the oil cooler with the updated turbo oil feed fitting, updated turbo oil feed tube and updated turbo drain.
