I have a 2012 super duty and am hearing front wheel bearings roar. My question is do I need to replace bearings only or the entire hub. I have been told by Ford that you can't replace just the bearings only but I see that the bearings can be bought by themselves. What do you guys recommend, the entire hubs are expensive as you all know. What do you do when bearings go bad? Thanks for your advice.
I checked local parts store. They show inner and out races along with bearings for my 2015 2wd F350. You should be able to knock out the bearing races and replace them as long as they are tight in the hubs. Compare the cost of both bearings with races and the cost of the hub to see which is cheaper in the long run. The hub may or may not include the rotor.
